I am really lucky I have the best boss in the world. he let me have an extra day off. (A day of adjustment) After so much relaxation i really don't think i can jump back into my stressful job.
Today was very rainy and no really good stops and lots of farmland. so here is what i have for today. I did stumble accross a fairly well known offroad park.
WE did go see a REAL 2 story outhouse. It really functioned. look up the history it is interesting. clare michigan.

Sad to say i'm on my way home.
This is truely the first time i have been on a decently long vacation and been sad to go home. Usually i am happy for it to end (I tend to get homesick pretty easily).
Today we started the day off in a Newberry McDonalds for the wifi. We had no idea where to go from there. Amy said she wanted to see the bavarian style that Gaylord is known for. so we headed there. We found a trail that mirrored US 123 in the up, So we took that.
ok so those pics took about 20 min to upload so i'mgonna be skimpy on pics from now on. we are in a grayling who swears they have wifi, i saw the box but no signal to be found, and she wont let me fix it. (yes i offered)
So we crossed the bridge and here are a couple trail pics.
I think i got the backwards but oh well.
hmmmm.......thinkin........hmmmmmm
Ahh on to Indian river.
we founf that they had alot of Elk..... So we thought we;d go looking at the DNR's food plots, and trail ride!
Hmm we got through alot, I till don't want to go home!
Well gaylord was not what we expected but..... we are glad we went.
left Gaylord to head to Grayling, and thats where we founf a nice place to stay. Theres no cabins we saw, but a nice cozy motel to wash up.

sketchy wifi and alot of trails.
Today it's tuesday, i've been having a hard time finding wifi up here.So we stopped at Mcdonalds. We crossed the bridge and headed torwards Seney national park and pictured rocks. I have to say "HOLY HELL!" this is trail riders heaven up here. As far as i have seen, the only way to get from here to there up here, is trails or 2 lane hwy's.
So our original idea was to go to manistique and spend the night, that changed we got sick of running on the 2 lane hwy. so we headed torwards Seney. So we find out after it's late and we get there Seney is built on a swamp. "I have honestly never seen skeeters that big before in my life, They sound like hummingbirds coming at youand the swarms are really overwhelming.
Ok so we made it to Seney wildlife refuge the next morning. here's the pics of the 7mile trip.
We are off to the more northern northern Michigan. PICTURED ROCKS!!!! the part i have really been looking torwards.
so we found an old logging road to take north and popped us out about 10miles from the rocks. We had lunch at a little place that for some reason looked familiar.Must have passed it when my parents took me here as a kid.
again i have so many photo's i can't really put them all on now. at the end of the trip i will post a bunch of random photo's.
We leave the trail and head torwards pictured rocks, "they truely are amazing. Someday i will see it by boat."
We are off once again, driving through a outskirt of town to munising, our mission is to see the falls. I honestly didn't expect much, being i heard they are behind the hospital. I was wrong, The man made setting on the way to them helped. They are beautiful.
So it has been raining on and off all day,but we see serious clouds rolling in and lots of thunder in the background. We make the decision to hop on the 2 lane hwy and book it to newberry. (had to post this pic, seemed really out of place for the north"
We rented a cabin in Newberry, It's a nice little town. We decided to go north and see the Tahquamenon Falls before calling it a night. Now those are some big falls.
Now back to the cabin.

off to the island, and cross the bridge.
So today started off nice, We woke up to a cloudy warm day in mackinaw city.
We ate a quick creal breakfast and were on our way.
we got onto the ferry with nothing out of the ordinary. We couldn't figure out what to do, We finally decided to rent bikes and ride around the island. Sounded like an excellent idea to me (since i don't really care for tourist type tour guides). Well Sam had a different idea, She didn't like being strapped down, Can't really blame her, she has spent most of the trip in a car seat..............So... We ended up taking one of those tour guide horse and buggy rides.
so thank you matt, chad, and john for a great tour. This is the only pic i got of them.
I am feeling really run down now so gonna just post up pics of the island, being most people have been there anyway.
Ahh I almost forgot the craziest thing on the island, We had lunch at The Rebel Yankee (we highly recomend it).
It started pouring rain out of nowhere, Then the hail started. This all lasted about 25 min. or so.
We boarded the shepler boat again, and back on our journey north.
Ok back in the truck and headed north. Sami's first time on the bridge, she is bocoming quite the seasoned traveler.
We figuered we had to stop by a staple of the U.P.
Castle rock
The trails are getting thin, not alot left open. most were on private property
